Irony of life

We have turned into machines, working like robots, running through our days like we are trying to get somewhere...but where? it's a mirage, the faster we go, the further our destination goes. We are always running to get to the next moment
And through all this running we have forgotten to live today. We have forgotten to love today... taken life for granted, forgotten that our days are numbered. Until death knocks on our doors, looming around our house, then suddenly we value life, suddenly we have time to sit together and talk, cry, smile at memories, regret, remorse, feel, emote.

Until then, we behave like we are guaranteed a tomorrow. Death comes to remind us to live. It snaps it's fingers, saying... And u thought I won't come for you?

If only we lived with that reminder every day...wouldnt we live better? Wouldn't we stop taking this beautiful gift for granted. Wouldn't we tell each other that we care? Wouldn't we love better? Wouldn't our hugs and kisses be more genuine? Wouldn't we take care of ourselves and each other better? If only we remind our selves that tomorrow is not promised to us. Maybe then we will learn to live a full life in every moment!
It's ironic...but it takes death to remind us to live.
